The Ultimate Mercedes Sedan is coming<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door<\/span>, unveiled in March at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, is a four-door sedan-coup\u00e9 competing with the Porsche Panamera<\/span> and the BMW 8 Series Gran Coup\u00e9<\/span>, the concept of which is also being unveiled in Geneva.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the 4-door, 4-seater sedan version of the Mercedes-AMG GT<\/span> coupe in the range, from which it takes the 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo<\/span> but not the chassis because it is based on the Mercedes CLS class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      P3 Hybrid Powertrain<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      The central powertrain controller is the brain of the car, it decides when the engine or when the E-motor provides torques and when the car drives electrically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This car’s electric motor is 10% more fuel-efficient compared to a normal car for everyday driving, there is a big improvement due to the braking system. It’s pretty compared to a conventional hybrid P2 system, very performance-oriented but still the same efficient benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The major benefit is that the electric motor is located directly on the rear axle and the torque does not have to go through the whole gearbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      This car has a conventional gearbox (4Matic+<\/span>) with custom software to be hybrid-ready with a few hardware tweaks, and it also has a second gearbox in the rear for the electric drive unit. The electric motor in the rear has 2 gears, the first gear for high torque, and the second gear provides electric motor power up to the car’s highest speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      When you use the kinetic energy of the car, you will provide electric energy to the battery so that you will have boost ready, that’s mean when you step on the brake pedal, you put energy back into the battery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      It’s a small battery because AMG focus on performance and they did everything to reduce the weight of the system, it weighs 89kg. This car is about performance, the engineer focused on 150KW peak power and 70KW on continuous power, this is not for capacity.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

      But here is the fanciness<\/span> part of this Battery, it has a direct cooling system… This system is flooded with oil, which allows the battery to be at the temperature of 45\u00b0C. This battery has a 20 of C-rat for charging and 33 for discharging, which simply means you immediately get the power when you need it. Another detail that makes this battery so special, this concept of battery is almost the same as the battery you can find in a Formule 1<\/span> car oh yeah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
